This ministry recognizes the Right to Life as the most fundamental human right bestowed on us by our creator, without which no other rights are relevant.  We work to promote protection of all human life from conception to natural death through education, outreach, prayer and advocacy.

St. Luke’s Respect Life Ministry supports life affirming organizations in our community, regardless of religious beliefs, and encourages all to help in supporting mothers, dads, infants, children, the elderly and all those who are vulnerable and in desperate need of love and kindness.

Structured around a series of more than 30 interviews with Americans holding opinions from all over the political and social spectrum, this 2020 documentary brings empathy to a hot-button topic. In February 2021, $500 was donated from St. Luke’s Respect Life Ministry funds to PREPARES Pregnancy and Parenting support,  as part of the “Open Your Heart” Valentine’s Day Appeal  to support infants and children in need. An additional $500 was donated to 3W Medical for Women, a local organization providing needed women’s healthcare including pregnancy services, health screening and testing.  We would like to thank the members of St. Luke for their generous contributions to our ministry and life giving organizations like these. Your gift is SAVING LIVES!

The 2021 Statewide Bishops’ PREPARES Valentine Appeal took place over the weekend of February 13 – 14. ” It’s been said that kindness comes in many forms but always from the heart. As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, we ask that you open your heart to infants, children, mothers and dads in desperate need of love and kindness… Your PREPARES gift, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated and will help ensure that these critical services continue to thrive and expand in parishes in your region and all across the state of Washington.” (from A letter from the Washington State Bishops).
